PABLO & MORRIS

FOR PARENTS

FOR PARENTS

STORIES FIRST. CURIOSITY FOLLOWS.

Pablo & Morris was created around a simple idea: children should never feel that a story is a lesson. Every adventure begins with characters, humour, curiosity and imagination. But when Pablo and Morris travel somewhere real, encounter a moment from history or explore an idea connected to the real world, the story can also become the beginning of a discovery.

HOW WE THINK ABOUT PABLO & MORRIS

HOW WE THINK ABOUT PABLO & MORRIS

STORY FIRST

The adventure comes first. If children want to know what happens next, curiosity has already started doing its work.

REAL FACTS, CLEARLY IDENTIFIED

When an adventure touches history, science, geography, culture or the real world, factual information should be clearly distinguished from the fictional story. The adventure may be imaginary. The facts around it should give young readers something real to remember.

CURIOSITY, NOT HOMEWORK

Selected issues continue beyond the story with discoveries, quizzes, drawing, colouring and creative activities. They are designed as extensions of the adventure, not as schoolwork.

CREATE, DON’T JUST CONSUME

Children are invited to draw, imagine, solve, question and create. Sometimes Pablo and Morris may even ask Club members for ideas for a future mission.

STORY & REAL WORLD

STORY & REAL WORLD

Pablo and Morris are fictional characters and their adventures are stories. But some of the places, historical moments, scientific ideas and cultural references they encounter are real. When an issue contains this kind of material, Mana Editions aims to make the distinction clear.

PABLO & MORRIS ADVENTURE

This belongs to the fictional story.

REAL WORLD DISCOVERY

This introduces factual or contextual information connected to the real world.

BEYOND THE LAST PAGE

BEYOND THE LAST PAGE

Selected Pablo & Morris issues continue after the story with activities that encourage young readers to remember, notice, imagine and create.

QUIZZES · DRAWING · COLOURING · PUZZLES · CREATIVE MISSIONS · REAL-WORLD DISCOVERIES

Not every issue needs to contain every activity. The format can change with the adventure.
